This route mostly follows old railway tracks to the East of Chesterfield with a few short sections of connecting roads. DESCRIPTION:All welcome to join us for a social ride along the 5 Pits Trail from Chesterfield to Tibshelf. \nWe will start from outside Queens Park Cafe at 1pm. \nThe ride highlights some of the excellent off road trails to be found in and around Chesterfield. \nMostly off road for about 24 miles using local cycle tracks through the Avenue Washlands and down the 5 Pits Trail. Good trail surfaces and a few steepish hills. Ideal route for those with previous experience of cycling easy trails and a moderate level of fitness. Will be ridden at an easy pace with a number of short stops. \nFamilies welcome.
