DESCRIPTION:A hilly road ride heading into the Peak District.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe route will take us to Holymoorside\, up Harewood road and south across the tops. Coffee stop at Tansley Barn. Back via Ogston reservoir and Wingerworth. \n\n\n\nRoad bikes (and e-bikes) with suitable gears for the climbs. Please ensure you have a suitable repair kit and Hydration. \n\n\n\n\nAround 32 miles/3-4 hours of riding at a steady pace. There are hills.\n\n\n\nOrganised by Chesterfield Spire Cycling Club\n\n\n\nThis is fairly typical of a shorter Chesterfield Spire “touring” ride. There are usually 2 or 3 groups out on the midweek rides giving a choice of more\, or less energetic excursions. DESCRIPTION:Cycle paths and trails to the Albert Inn\, Woodthorpe\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMost of the ride will be on cycle paths and trails\, there is a steep climb out of Chesterfield but other than that the ride is relatively easy. Total distance starting and finishing at the station is 12.7 miles. \n\n\n\nSuitable for a commuter/gravel/road/mtb cycle\, but mudguards fitted would be ideal if it is raining and gears for climbing\, especially at the start. The ride is suitable for older children of level two bikeability training age. DESCRIPTION:Bolsover to Carburton Old School Tea Rooms (Clumber Park)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis ride is an 18 mile road ride using a fairly flat route. If you would like to try a women’s only road cycling experience on quiet roads this would be a good place to start. The route takes us out to the lovely Carburton Old School Tea Rooms near Clumber Park. The ride is suitable for road and hybrid bikes. We will ride at a steady pace and ensure that no one is left behind. You will need a relatively good level of fitness to take part in the ride. \n\n\n\nWe will start the ride at Town End Car Park (S44 6DT) in Bolsover at 10.00am. Please bring a drink and any snacks that you might need. If you have spare inner tubes\, and a pump\, please bring them with you. This event is perfect for cyclists looking for a fun and challenging adventure. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned rider\, this ride offers something for everyone. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to explore local landscapes. \n\n\n\nThe ride will be going through the Avenue trail\, then the 5 pits trail to Teversal (coffee stop) before looping around Pleasley Vale and returning (roads) via Hardwick Hall. The ride will be undulating with a couple of steeper pitches. \n\n\n\nTrails are mostly well surfaced – suitable for hybrid/gravel/mtb (and e-bike). There are sone steep hills but we will wait for everyone. \n\n\n\nFrom the park we will ride out on the station link before climbing steeply up Crow Lane. Once in Brimington\, we drop down on a decent track into West Wood before climbing back out steeply to Inkersall.
