DESCRIPTION:All welcome to join us for a social ride along the 5 Pits Trail from Chesterfield to Tibshelf. \nWe will start from outside Queens Park Cafe at 1pm. \nThe ride highlights some of the excellent off road trails to be found in and around Chesterfield. \nMostly off road for about 24 miles using local cycle tracks through the Avenue Washlands and down the 5 Pits Trail. Good trail surfaces and a few steepish hills. Ideal route for those with previous experience of cycling easy trails and a moderate level of fitness. Will be ridden at an easy pace with a number of short stops. \nFamilies welcome. You must be comfortable cycling on roads and have a moderate level of fitness for this trip which will be cycled at a slow pace. On the return there will be the option of a short stop at a Fish and Chip shop for those that want to. \n\n\n\nFamilies welcome. SUMMARY:Trans-pennine trail / Canal loop ride
DESCRIPTION:Cycle along Chesterfield Canal\, through Poolsbrook and back through Westwood. \n\n\n\nCome and enjoy an evening loop ride exploring some of Chesterfield’s off road cycling infrastructure. Meet outside Queens Park Cafe and then cycle via the station link to the Trans Pennine Trail on the Canal. The TPT takes us to Poolsbrook Country Park and then on into WestWood before returning via quiet lanes and tracks to Chesterfield. \n\n\n\nThis route is predominantly on tracks and there are some steep gradients in Westwood and back to Chesterfield. Suitable for those confident with cycling on quiet roads and some good shared gravel cycle paths. There are a few short steep uphills and downhills. Pace slow / moderate \n\n\n\nFamilies welcome. DESCRIPTION:Cycle some great trails east of Chesterfield on a 40 mile off road loop. \n\n\n\nThis will be a full day outing exploring some of the excellent off road trails around Chesterfield known as the Phoenix Greenways. This route mostly follows old railway tracks to the East of Chesterfield with a few short sections of connecting roads. The trails encountered are \n\n\n\n\nAvenue Works\n\n\n\nFive Pits\n\n\n\nSilverhill\n\n\n\nPleasley\n\n\n\nTeversal\n\n\n\nArcheological Way\n\n\n\nClowne Greenway\n\n\n\nPoolsbrook\n\n\n\nChesterfield Canal TPT\n\n\n\n\nYou must be capable of cycling 40 miles at a moderate pace and be self sufficient for food and cycle repairs. \n\n\n\nFamilies welcome.
