Our vision is for a comprehensive joined up cycle network in and around the town providing safe routes.

We hope to achieve this by lobbying and working with our two local authorities, Chesterfield Borough Council (CBC) and Derbyshire County Council (DCC).

We have a agreed a new protocol with CBC which should result in us being advised in advance of planning applications which we will respond to and speak at planning committee meetings if we feel it necessary.

We have a good working relationship with the highways and countryside (greenways) departments at DCC and attend the DCC quarterly ‘cycle liaison’ meetings.

Our Campaign has close ties with two other local campaigning groups, Ride Bolsover and Cycling 4 Everyone in Dronfield.
