The ‘Staveley Works’ site encompasses several old industrial area and is alongside the Chesterfield Canal between Staveley, Hollingwood and Barrow Hill.
The image above is from the masterplan with our annotation on top. The spine road is planned to have a dedicated cycle route alongside which will aid commuter cyclists leaving the existing Trans Pennine Trail as a leisure route.

Although not an easy solution we hope that Barrow Hill can be connected to the cycle network too.
The spine road forms part of the proposed ‘Staveley Regeneration Route’ which had an initial public consultation in Spring 2022. You can read our response here.
