ather late notice, but just to confirm the 3rd in our series of family rides will take place on Saturday 26th July. Meeting outside the Queen’s Park cafe from 2.00pm. The ride will depart at 3.00pm.

The theme is sustainability, we will pass the Leisure Centre with its solar PV array, one of Chesterfields oldest industrial buildings complete with derelict waterwheel, look at a living roof on an extension to a  private house and hear how the walls will be made of straw. There will be a demonstration of a grass scythe and pedal powered refreshments.

If time permits we will return to the park via the Tourist Information Centre which is heated and cooled using a geothermal system.

In all only about 4 miles of cycling, bring a friend along!
