Almost 40 people took part in the Family Ride on Saturday 26th July which was a short tour of ‘sustainability’. Cllr Openshaw (a Campaign member) described the salar PV panels on the Queen’s Park Leisure Centre and the heat pump at the Tourist Office. The tour also looked at a ‘living roof’, a derelict waterwheel and a demonstration of scything. Riders enjoyed a fruit smoothie created by pedal power.
