The proposal to reopen Hollis Lane as far as the station car park was approved by Derbyshire County Council recently. This is almost certainly the first stage of a new through road past the station to Brimington Road and Waterside.

Watersides ‘Tweet’ about their connectivity is a bit ‘rich’ considering their poor proposals for a bridge connecting to the Trans Pennine Trail.
