Chesterfield Cycle Campaign welcomes the inclusion of cycle parking close to the main entrance of this development.
We expect that cycle parking stands will be installed to DfT specification (as detailed in Local Transport Note 2/08):
Length 700mm recommended.
Height 750mm +/- 50mm.
Tube diameter 50 – 90mm.
Stands should be placed 1000 – 1200mm apart, ideally 1200mm to enable easy access between adjacent bikes.
At least 600mm gap at either end of the stand.
