The new bridleway around the north eastern side of the Peak Resort site is open (although no access from the Peak Resort entrance roundabout at the moment).
This long running development plan seems to be finally moving forward! It will create a ‘world class’ resort in the Sheepbridge/Unstone area.
The resort no longer includes a golf course but cycling will be a major focus with around 15km of trails within the site. The bridleway through the middle of the site is now closed and a new 3m wide bridleway has been built around the northern edge.
Access has now been built at the southern end (near Riverside Garden Centre) but the shared path is too narrow! The Campaign is pursuing this with DCC and the developers and plans have just been published for a traffic free route from Whittington Moor roundabout to the new bridleway.
