The Campaign needs your help!

26 February 2018

We hope you are aware that Derbyshire County Council officers are trying to build a shared path between Unstone Green and Dronfield. This path joins up to the new bridleway around Peak Resort which will eventually lead to a new cycle path from Peak Resort to Whittington Moor roundabout and the Chesterfield Cycle Network.

The route is being opposed by Councillor Alex Dale, Conservative lead member for young people.

The shared path will create a wider footway and closed off side road between Unstone Green and Unstone Junior school.

North Derbyshire Conservatives are conducting an on line survey. We are asking as many people as possible to fill in the survey in support of the route:

You may be interested to know that £750,000.00 has been allocated to the project by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership. If the route doesn’t go ahead the money will have to be repaid, it cannot be used elsewhere.
