Earlier this year Cycle Chesterfield published a cycle audit highlighting opportunities to improve conditions for walking, wheeling and cycling across the town.

Since then we have discussed the audit with a range of partners and stakeholders. Their feedback has helped us refine our thinking and identify three specific infrastructure proposals which we believe would deliver meaningful improvements for local residents and visitors.

These proposals are now being presented to decision-makers at Derbyshire County Council, Chesterfield Borough Council and the East Midlands Mayoral Authority as a first step in improving and developing the Chesterfield walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure on offer to residents and visitors.
